"Onion root concave cutting and peeling machine" which is researched and developed by Qingdao Dong Devotion Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd, can cut onion root concave-shaped like an arc concave hole as well as cut onion head flat and clean with no damage. Also it will peel onion skin immediately after onion head and root cut off. It has realized that the operation of onion head and root cutting and onion skin peeling can be completed on one machine. This machine has already been awarded the national invention patent and exported to many countries.

1. The machine is equipped with onion automatic identification and adjustment device. No matter onion is big or small, the machine can identify onion’s size automatically and cut head and root in a certain amount.

2. The machine is also equipped with blade adjuster. Only if adjust well the blade adjuster in advance according to the requirement of root cutting size, the machine will control the cutting amount automatically in the root cutting process.

3. Working flow of the machine: Manually place the onions one by one onto the fast running conveyor belt with onion head down and onion root up. The conveyor belt then carries onion to the floating cutter which will quickly remove the head and root of onion.
